This is the best place to eat in Mankato - actually this is the best place to eat, period. I have been to many places in the Twin Cities and Neighbor's tops them. It's great for going out on a date or just going with a group of friends. The food is excellent and the staff is great. Yes, the wait can be long if you don't have a reservation but you do get free wine while you wait!

All the way from Orlando: I visit this restaurant every time I travel for business in Greater Minnesota. The food is exceptional, the wine list is perfect and the service is always gracious and genuine. In the city of chain restaurants and amusement parks, I rarely am able to find places like Neighbor's. I work hard to find them when I travel - this one is a treat!

Great Food, Great Atmosphere. The Neighbor's is this quaint, downtown restaurant with terrific food. The Neighbor's is a great choice for a romantic evening or just a quiet place to visit with friends over a nice meal.

I came to Neighbor's with my wife and decided to try something new. I ordered the Pollo Saltimboca and it was amazing. We had a great dinner and love coming here.

This is by far my favorite resturant and I use any excuse to go. It has become an annual tradition for me to buy my parents a giftcard for Christamas and than go together as a family!

I love this place!!!! My finacee and I go often. It's the first place I recommend to people, and if I am getting a gift card, this is where I go. The food, wine, and low lighting is just the perfect place to go and relax. From the start of the antipesto tray to the finish with Creme Brule...it's perfect! I hope you are around forever!!!

I love coming here, my boyfriend and I had an excellent experience as always with the staff and service and food, I always recommend people to come here. The relaxed atmosphere and the classic music from dean martin to tony bennett and frank sinatra...is great!!!!

My wife and I were visiting friends in Vernon Center yesterday, and we asked for a dinner recommendation. They gave us directions to your restaurant. We both enjoyed the Italian Sausage and Spinach Lasagna and I had the Steak and Mushroom Soup. We are not food connoisseurs, but we sure know what we like, and your food was excellent. Ashley not only provided us with terrific service, but aided us with departure instructions to get back on our route. We will now be the ones to recommend The Neighbors when we have the opportunity.

My fiance' and I stopped in on a whim for a quick bite before driving back to Sioux Falls. What a great surprise!!! We shared the Artichoke Fondue, then she had the salad and I had the Clam Chowder. She loved the salad(especially the banana peppers). The chowder was 'absolutely perfect'. Best I have ever had. The clams were tender and the ingredients all complemented each other perfectly. Then she had the Resotto Melisse and I had the Spicy Chicken Penne. We both agreed that our meals were the best Italian food we have ever eaten. We found our new place to come celebrate our anniversary each year. It's worth the 3 hour drive. The service was also great. The staff were very friendly and helpful when we couldn't decide which entree to choose. Thank you for a great night.

My wife and I visited your restaurant this evening. It was the last night I was to be home with my family before I return to Ft. McCoy, WI, to finish preparations for my deployment this coming year. Our server was Suni, a delightful young lady from Seattle, WA. She was professional and polite. We also had the pleasure of meeting the manager on duty, Stephanie. At the end of our meal, which by the way, was great, we started a conversation with Suni, and thru this, she came to learn of our celebration this evening. She wanted to express her gratitude by offering us a dessert, compliments of her. We graciously accepted. While enjoying the dessert, Stephanie approached us, shook my hand, and thanked me for my service. During this she also informed us that she was taking care of our entire bill, in thanks for my service. We have enjoyed your Bistro many times before, and have always had great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We would have been regular customers of your, regardless of the extraordinary service your staff showed tonight. It is refreshing to know that, even after 10 years of war, people still care and are willing to say thank you when it isnt expected. The hand shakes, and words of thanks were more than enough. It makes me feel good about what I am going off to do, knowing that there are still people like you and your staff here in the states. I wanted to thank you for the dinner that we had at your establishment last week. I have family in Minnesota (around Mankato) and was in the area to celebrate my marriage. On a whim we went out to dinner, and didn’t expect a lot (for many reasons). It was absolutely outstanding! Being from Milwaukee, we had not heard of Neighbors. Following 10 hours of driving we were exhausted and starved. I had originally wanted a Veal Piccata, which led us to your business. We entered and were warmly welcomed and seated. That’s when we realized we were in for a treat. Our server John soon approached and explained the menu and concept, while suggestively selling us on a few items but ultimately letting us make the decision on dinner. I don’t want to bore you with all of the details of the evening, but did want to compliment you on the ambiance, the menu, a terrific wine list, and most of all for the professional and pleasant approach of our server John. Hi! We were in to your restaurant on Saturday, May 8th to celebrate the graduation of two long time friends, from Minnesota State Mankato University. I would like to commend your staff on the excellent service they provided us. They were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. We were a party of 12 and had brought in a special cake to celebrate the event. Not one, but two of your employees came over within minutes of our arriving and offered to take the cake into the kitchen and store it for us. They then cut and served the cake when we were finished with our meals (which were excellent!!) and boxed up the leftover cake for us to take home. They cheerfully went out of their way to make sure that our celebration was a success -- and we all appreciated their efforts very much! We all had a wonderful time. We will have fond memories of that day for years to come. Thank You!
